About us
BernClare Multimedia Inc., established in 1993, has since been a distributor of MPEG products and has gathered lots of experience in broadcast quality video encoding and streaming. In 2000, BernClare branches out to distribute video security product. Both product lines are quite similar but with emphasis on different aspects:
- Broadcast video and IPTV streaming emphasis on smooth motion, good quality video and audio for wide audience coverage. These files are usually encoded with ISO standard, or common codec such that users can easily watch, live or from archive, without the need to install new CODECs. BernClare distributes quality video encoding and streaming product based on Flash, H264 (ISO), mpeg4(ISO), Windows Media, Real, mpeg2, mpeg1. These products are for encode, transcode, and video streaming. They can be PC based encoder cards or streaming applicances. Please check into: www. stream-video.com
- Security video for surveillance emphasis on good quality video (with or without audio) only for authorized audience to watch. Files are usually encoded in proprietary H.264, MPEG4, MPJEG formats such that users can view only by installing those factory CODECs. ISO standard H.264, MPEG4 players cannot be used. Security video for surveillance are feature rich, such as continuous recording 24x7 or record only when there is motion; support pan-tilt-zoom cameras; can easily retrieve files during playback based on recorded time; support multiple cameras (as much as 64 streams per PC). - A hybrid of above two product lines that has features of security surveillance, but target towards a broad audience, such as parents of daycare; traffic cameras; video for tourists attractions; multiple camera angles for sports and events. These products use "de facto" or ISO encoders, such as Windows media, H,264, MPEG4 that users may not need to install new CODECs.
